In January of 2000 Amy began her healthcare mission as a paramedic in Tennessee. Being a native Mississippian, however, she chose to return to the Magnolia state for her education and to continue her medical career. Amy received her nursing license in July of 2004, but a desire to make a greater impact on the lives of her patients led her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing. She attained that goal in May of 2020 and continued to advance her knowledge and skills with a focus on Diabetes Management. Her current list of certifications includes Family Nurse Practitioner, Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and a Board Certification in Advanced Diabetes Management. Amy and her husband Shawn reside in Brookhaven, MS where they continue to raise their family.
